Position Title: Dental Assistant

Job Summary:
Dental Assistants assists Doctors in providing efficient and safe dental treatments. They are required to assist in the performance of quality, caring dentistry; become adept in assigned procedures; and aid the doctor smoothly and unobtrusively. The DA performs clinical and technical procedures under the supervision of a licensed dentist. The DA gets the patient ready, prepares the operatory and equipment and assists the Doctor during examinations and treatment. The DA maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patients, properly maintains instruments and equipment, and adheres to all required OSHA and health regulations. The DA is also required to explain treatment plans to the parents and/or guardian.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be capable of performing each essential duty satisfactorily. 3-5 years of experience with 3 References indicating solid employment history, patient care, teamwork, infection control, chairside assisting, and other crucial skills are required.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
X-ray license, CPR certificate, Hepatitis B vaccinations, A board-approved course in the Dental Practice Act, and a board-approved 8 hour course in infection control.
